    Asana, or the physical practice of yoga, is but one of the 8 Limbs of Yoga. Meditation, and Pranayama (mindful breathing techniques) are also Limbs, and are equally important. These practices can be a very healing and fulfilling part of a yoga practice. These ancient practices not only help us to focus, find peace, and feel more spiritually connected, but scientific research suggests that meditation and mindful breathing also help to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, insomnia, stress, and fatigue.

    Join Jennifer Grubba, EdS, MA, and 200 RYT for this workshop. She will empower you to tap into your innate ability to self-regulate and develop your personal meditation practice. We will explore various breathing and meditation techniques with a focus on mantra meditation. A mantra is a word or sound repeated to aid in concentration during meditation. We will engage in some gentle movement at the beginning of each session to prepare our bodies and minds for stillness. Please dress for accordingly. No prior experience with meditation is necessary. All levels welcome.
