I believe the root of joy is gratefulness. Brené Brown once said, "I don't have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness - it's right in front of me if I'm paying attention and practicing gratitude." I do believe in Brown's philosophy. Studies have shown that the more you express thanks, the happier you are. So with that in mind, here is my gratitude challenge to you; I challenge you to write down what you are grateful for every day for 10 days. Start a gratitude journal and look at this challenge as a journey. Gratitude isn't just an assignment, but a habit. A habit that needs to be practiced and nurtured.
It's NOVEMBER...National Month of Gratitude! Many organizations choose to celebrate this in a variety of ways. For example, non-profits increase acts of charity to show gratitude, schools support a gratitude journaling practice, and organizations offer employees opportunities to give back to the community. In honor of National Gratitude Month, Live True Yoga will be participating in the simple act of giving to the Hanover Food Shelf, who services the surrounding cities including, Hanover, Saint Michael, Albertville, Corcoran, and Loretto. There will be a box located at the studio where we will be collecting food items and we strongly encourage you to participate in this generous act of giving.

Intro to Meditation Series
Dates: November 6, 13, 20

Join Niki Hoglund for a 3-week Introduction to Meditation Series at Live True Yoga. Niki has Master's degree from Pepperdine Uni-versity in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family studies. Among her therapeutic approaches for healing, Niki uses meditation, guided imagery, progressive muscle relaxation, and deep breathing.
This series will provide an introduction to the basics of meditation, mindfulness, and how both can be merged with our modern lifestyle. Each class during the series will have a beginning discussion, hands on activity, breathing/relaxation component, a meditation, and an after meditation discussion. The first session will focus on reducing stress, alleviating stress, and how to create more peace in your life. The second session will focus on setting goals and achieving goals; this meditation will also introduce an "anchor object" to work into your meditations. The third session will focus on the power of intention and how to meditate with intention. During the third session, we will also discuss how to set up your own meditation space whether it be at home, work, cabin, or wherever you choose!

Beginners Yoga Workshop Series

The Beginners Workshop Series is designed for students who are beginners. The series gives new students at Live True Yoga the opportunity to learn the basics of yoga and yoga etiquette. There are three 60 minute sessions where you will get comfortable with the most common poses you are most likely to experience in our regular classes. After taking the Beginners Workshop Series you will feel more confident starting your yoga practice. Mats and blocks will be provided.

Chocolate and Wine Barre Event

Sip, savor, and strengthen! Chocolate is good for your health (in moderation, of course) and can help balance your hormones and heighten senses. Wine contains some of the same elements as chocolate: flavonoids and antioxidants, and moderate consumption can lead to the same effects. Barre needs no flavonoids or antioxidants, it is simply an awesome form of exercise! Exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy! Wine, chocolate and exercise... we think that sounds like a match made in heaven! All levels are welcome. Push yourself to break a sweat, plie deeper, and hold longer knowing that soon after the shaking sets in, there will be wine & chocolate.
Participants of the Wine, Chocolate, and Barre Event will be led through an hour of Barre and then will enjoy a variety chocolates and wines.
